Is love a fancy or a feeling...or perfect lighting? Whether illuminating residential or commercial spaces, my formula is the same: Wrap the space in one temperature and accent in the other. Commercial spaces can feel too spacious for cool temp lighting, so I fill them with warm 2800-3000K lumens, and spotlight merchandise in cooler temps of 4000K for "look at me" lighting. For residential spaces, I flip it and reduce the difference by using 3500K in dimmable overhead lighting, but warm the room with incandescent or warm temp LEDs for chandeliers, lamps and sconces.
